Hummers’ motorized sounds
Swooping in to take a sip
Almost summer morn, seventy-two degrees
Audubon would love it here with all our bird species, colours, and sounds
This morning is alive with conversation, lily sightings, dew waiting to drip off railings
And a light breeze asking what is in store for us today?
Will we speak with all the birds?
Can we talk to a fawn or a cub?
Perhaps a bee balm will shoot out of the earth
And have a message just for us
