Waves undermine the sand beneath my soles
The rush of movement causes vertigo
Like watching a life rolling away, grain by grain
Don’t wish it away, plug the drain
Starting a new career at fifty-nine
Getting off the hill–it is about time
I look forward to new learning
Voiding loneliness, fear, yearning
Times are tough and I can do my part
